Willie Mae Bailey

Ms. Willie Mae Bailey, 90, of Granite Falls left her earthly body and went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, August 11, 2025.

Willie Mae was born on August 18, 1934, in Caldwell County to the late Roy and Elizabeth Marshall. She enjoyed traveling, watching NASCAR, and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Albert Marshall, Jerry Marshall, and Allen Marshall; sisters, Doris Simmons, Jenny Tucker, and Ina Kay Brittain; and grandson, Jason Daniel Story.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Martha Turner of Lenoir and Becky Linn of Hudson; granddaughters, Jennifer Woods (Rick) of Lenoir, and Amy Lail (Jessie) of Lenoir; grandson, Jeremy Story (Amy) of Taylorsville; sister, Ann Gragg of Hudson; and best friend, Brenda Grasty of Granite Falls.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM Friday, August 15, 2025 in the Chapel of Mackie Funeral Service.

Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir.

The family will receive friends prior to the service, on Friday from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Mackie Funeral Service.
