William Todd Rowell

William Todd Rowell, 57 of Newton passed away unexpectedly on April 16, 2026. Todd will be deeply missed by his friends and family.

Mr. Rowell was born on April 16, 1969, to Mrs. Carol Jacqueline Freeman and the late Rodney Rowell in Catawba county.

Todd dedicated the last 15 years of his career to serving as plant supervisor at R&D Plastics in Hickory, North Carolina, where he was known for his leadership, dedication, and strong work ethic. A devoted member of Liberty Baptist Church, Todd continually nurtured his faith and deepened his love for the Lord. He had a lifelong passion for drag strip racing, enjoying it both as an enthusiastic spectator and as an active participant. In quieter moments, Todd found peace in the waters of Lake Hickory, where he cherished time spent boating and reflecting on the beauty of the outdoors.

In addition to his father Mr. Rowell is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Violet and Hershel Freeman. Niece; Deanna Uberti and Grandmother Evelyn Rowell.

Those left to cherish Todd’s memory include his mother; Carol Jacqueline Freeman. Long time partner Candy Phillips of Newton. Daughter; Kayla Nations and husband Stephen of Harrison, MS. Sister; Kimberly Thompson and husband Brandon. Grandchildren; Hannah Nations, Kelsey Nations and Hunter Nations all of Harrison MS.

Per the Families request there will be no services at this time
