Wayne Eugene Hartley

Wayne Eugene Hartley, 70, of Hudson, departed this world and entered his heavenly home on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Amorem Forlines in Hudson.

Mr. Hartley was born on March 26, 1956, in Watauga County to the late Darl Eugene Hartley and Frances Wheeler. Mr. Hartley found great joy in life's simple pleasures, especially spending time on the golf course whenever he had the chance. He was a talented craftsman who took pride in his work and the skill of his hands. Most importantly, Mr. Hartley's greatest love was for the Lord. His unwavering faith guided his life, and he was a dedicated and faithful member of Lakeview Baptist Church, where he worshiped and served with a devoted heart.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father.

Those left to cherish the memory of Mr. Hartley are his wife of 9 years, Donna Hartley, of the home. Daughter; Candace Greene and Corey of North Dakota. and grandchildren; Damian Rich, Emily Greene, and Lillian Greene of North Dakota. Stepson; Bryson Annas and wife Cindy of Granite Falls. Step Grandson; Deacon Annas of Granite Falls.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Lakeview Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Lawrence and Rev. Frank Denning officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church from 1:00-2:00 PM.
