Wanda Jean Serrano

Wanda Jean Baldwin Serrano, 77, of Hudson passed away Monday, April 13, 2026 at UNC Health Care Blue Ridge following a period of declining health.

Wanda was born October 10, 1948 in Caldwell County, NC to the late John Turner Baldwin and Mildred Whisnant Baldwin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, Jorge Ivan Serrano.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Samantha Horton of Lenoir; Alice Price and fiancé Chad Triplett of Lenoir, and Tabitha Darby of Lenoir; brother, Dennis Baldwin of Lenoir; sister, Delores Kay Nicholson of Statesville; grandchildren, Whitney Witherspoon and husband Eric, Brooke Horton, Chelsea Kralovics and husband Tom, Lani Walsh and husband Brandon, Erin Darby and fiancé Caleb Austin, Evan Earp, and Eli Earp; sixteen great grandchildren; aunt, Judy Snyder and husband Steve; special friend Charity Medlock; and her first husband and father of her children, Norman Pritchard

A funeral service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, April 18, 2026 in the Chapel of Mackie Funeral Service with the Rev. Michael Medlock officiating.

Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Mackie Funeral Service in Granite Falls.
