Timothy Pierce Edwards

Timothy Pierce Edwards, 63, of Lenoir, North Carolina and formerly from Chesapeake, Virginia passed away after a tough battle with cancer on July 23, 2026, at Amorem Forlines in Hudson.

Timothy was born on February 9, 1963, in Chesapeake Virginia to the late Perry Edwards Sr. and Margret Herron. Tim was known for his steady nature, his dry humor, and the quiet kindness he showed to people. He served in the United States Navy and carried that sense of responsibility with him throughout his life. Over the years, Tim worked in several roles before eventually spending many years at Sealed Air. Tim was married to Kathy for 30 years. They spent decades building a life side by side, and Kathy’s passing in March marked a significant chapter in Tim’s story. Tim loved music and was fluent in playing 12 instruments. He enjoyed picking up his guitar and playing. He also cared deeply about animals and spent a lot of time helping rescue and care for them.

Timothy was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Herron, and his father, Perry Edwards, Sr.

Tim is survived by his brother, Perry Edwards, Jr. (Janet), and his three stepdaughters, Amber McGalliard (Adam), Dawn Kemp (Dustin), and Robyn Hudson (Alex). They will remember his quiet strength, his stubborn streak, and the small moments that meant the most.

Tim will be missed by everyone who knew him. To honor Tim’s wishes, there will be no funeral services.

In honor of Tim’s love for animals and the compassionate care he received, the family asks that donations be made to Caldwell County Animal Control or Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care. Supporting these organizations reflects two things Tim valued deeply—helping animals in need and the kindness shown to him during his final moments.
