Susan Jane Shuffler

Susan Jane Shuffler, 70, of Valdese passed away peacefully and entered her heavenly home on April 24, 2026 at her residence.

Mrs. Shuffler was born on September 12, 1955, in Maryland to the late Otha Holder and Margret Hodge Flemings.

Susan was a devoted mother and cherished grandmother whose greatest joy in life was her family. She found true happiness in the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. Susan especially loved the holidays, when her family would gather to celebrate and share in the warmth of those special moments. Being surrounded by the people she loved most was what she valued above all else, and her presence brought comfort, love, and unity to every occasion.

In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her husband, Timothy Shuffler; her son, Brian Shuffler; and longtime partner Ronnie Reid.

Those left to cherish the memory Susan include her sister, Libby Vaughn and husband Bobby of Gastonia; her three children, Chastity Huffman of Valdese, Randy Shuffler and wife Michelle of Connelly Springs and Sandy Swepson and husband Brandon of Hickory; her cherished grandchildren, Harley Palacios and husband Billy, Dominique Patterson, Justice Patterson, Austin Lail, Braxton Jones, Raven Shuffler, Mekesen Miller, Hailey Shuffler and Austin Symons. Also surviving are Mrs. Shufflers beloved Great grandchildren.

The family will be holding a private service at a later date.
