Susan Lynn Day

Susan Lynn Barger Day, 68, of Lenoir, departed this life to her heavenly home on Thursday, November 27, at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Lenoir, North Carolina.

Susan was born on August 27, 1957, to the late Robert Barger and Shirley Butts. She was a loving woman whose strong Catholic faith guided her throughout her life. Known for her gentle heart and kind spirit, she brought comfort and warmth to everyone around her. She found great joy in sewing, creating thoughtful pieces that reflected her care and creativity. Her beloved dogs were her constant companions, and she cherished the happiness they brought her each day. She will be remembered for her faith, her kindness, and the quiet, steady love she shared with others.

In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her Brothers Johnny Barger and Larry Barger.

Those left to cherish her memories include her husband Kenneth Day; Children Scott Day and wife Katrina, Chris Day and wife Christine; seven grandchildren, Tiffany Gallegos of Granite Falls, Katie Day of Lenoir, Justis Day of Greensboro, Kenny Day of Granite Falls, Jasmine Walker and her husband Grayson of Rutledge, TN, Laura Copeland of Lenoir, and Hanna Day. Also surviving are numerous great-grandchildren.
