Roger Dale Barker

Mr. Roger Dale Barker, 57, of Morganton passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at UNC Blue Ridge in Morganton.

Roger was born April 23, 1968, in Burke County, NC to the late Cecil Ray Barker and Frances Elizabeth Murphy.

Those left to cherish his memory include his fiancé, Phyllis Bryant of Morganton; stepchildren, Jeff Smith and Amy Smith; siblings, James Barker of Connelly Springs, Elizabeth Brown and husband Harold of Taylorsville; Larry Barker of Lenoir, Michelle Abernathy and husband Roger of Connelly Springs; and Eric Taylor of Morganton; and 8 nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 30, 2026, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Mackie Funeral Service.
