Robert Nowell Williams

Mr. Robert Nowell Williams, 71, of Granite Falls passed away Sunday, April 19, 2026 at his home following a period of declining health.

Robert was born December 15, 1954 in Catawba County to the late Earl Williams, Jr. and Barbara Richards Williams. He worked as the Parts Department Manager at Hendrick Motors, where he was employed for over 35 years. He found his greatest joy in time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Williams.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Brenda Teague Williams of the home; children, Bobby Williams and wife Brandie of Granite Falls, Lindsey Williams and fiancé Chris Wilson of Granite Falls, and Christie Martin of Hickory; grandchildren, Dallas Williams, Kinsley Williams, Kassidy Yates, Lillian Williams, Gavin Shoup, Cali Martin, and Caleb Martin. Also surviving is his close K9 companion, Gracie.

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 23, 2026 from 2:00PM to 3:00PM at New Vision Baptist Fellowship Church.

The funeral service honoring Mr. Williams will begin at 3:00PM in the Sanctuary of New Vision Baptist Fellowship Church with the Rev. Brantley Moore, Rev. Jeremy Greer, and Rev. Ted Williams officiating.

Interment will follow at Temple Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
