Paul Anthony Swick

Mar 3, 1960 — Nov 4, 2026

Granite Falls

Paul Anthony Swick entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at his residence following a period of declining health. Paul was born in Marlin, Texas on March 3, 1960 and was a resident of Bremond, Texas until relocating after his school days to various cities in Texas. To his friends, he was also known as “Bubba”, “Goose”, or “Bubba Goose”. In the early 2010’s, he relocated to North Carolina and thoroughly loved living in the mountains there.

Paul had varied talents and worked in several different fields in his lifetime. He never met a stranger. In his early adulthood, Paul worked as a sound technician for several different musicians and bands based out of Austin, Texas. This was what he enjoyed the most out of all the opportunities he had in life. His face would “light up” when he shared stories from his travels with the bands and expressed that he felt honored to have worked with them.

Recreationally, Paul enjoyed fishing, whether it was deep sea fishing off the coast of Galveston, or fishing in the mountain streams of North Carolina. He was also an avid NFL fan, mainly the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed cooking (especially cooking out), almost as much as he enjoyed indulging in the fruits of his labor.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; Mike “Babe” Swick and Helen Staskey Swick; his siblings, Mike Swick, Tommy Swick, and Nancy Swick Heaton, all of Bremond, Texas

Left to cherish his memory are his sister; Judy McKinley and husband Jim McKinley of Old Hickory, Tennessee. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and close friends.

In accordance with his wishes, no formal services will be held.
