Patsy Cline Kirby

Patsy Cline Kirby, 85, of Granite Falls, departed this life to her heavenly home on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Hickory Falls Health and Rehabilitation following a period of declining health.

Patsy was born on March 19, 1941, in Catawba County to the late Earl Adley Cline and Christine Hildreth Yoder Cline. Patsy worked at Kohler and Campbell, First Savings Bank, and Poteat Motorlines until her retirement. She was later a homemaker and was a member of Christian Fellowship Chapel in Granite Falls.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Jerry Kirby.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Robert Kirby and wife Laura of Granite Falls and Brian Kirby of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Megan Kirby Reeves and husband Andrew, Andrew James Kirby, Amber Faith Kirby and Victor Scott Kirby; one brother, Les Cline and wife Veta of Newton; and one great-grandchild on the way.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at 4:00 PM at Christian Fellowship Chapel in Granite Falls with Rev. Dan Greene officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 3 PM to 4 PM in the church Sanctuary.
