Darrell Michael Wayne Harmon

Darrell Michael Wayne Harmon, 45, of Granite Falls passed away Monday, May 11, 2026 at his home, following a period of declining health.

Michael was born October 31, 1979 in Caldwell County. He worked as a security guard.

He is preceded in death by his step father, Kenneth Harmon; brother, Shane Adkins; nephew, Travis Talbert; great Nephew Ellis Barnwell; maternal grandparents, James Bentley and Odean Gilley; and paternal grandmother, Iris Reid.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Evelyn Bentley Harmon of Lenoir; father, Roger Dale Adkins of Lenoir and wife Kathy; brothers, Kevin Bentley of Sawmills, Mathew Harmon of Lenoir, and Cody Adkins of Lenoir; sisters, Sonya Harmon of Lenoir and Patricia Harmon of Lenoir. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
