Lucy Cervantes Robles, 75, of Hudson, passed away peacefully on Saturday February 28, 2026 at her home following a period of declining health.
Lucy was born on March 28, 1950 in Howard County, Texas to the late Jessie Cervantes and Jesse Ontiveros Cervantes. With a heart full of compassion, she spent many years as a home healthcare nurse, touching the lives of those she cared for. Her Catholic faith was an integral part of her identity, shaping her values and love for others.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Jennifer Turner of Grantie Falls; her son, Joseph Turner and wife Carole of Hudson; her sister, Rosario Medrano of Big Spring, TX; her grandchildren, Desirea Murphy and husband Joe of Hudson, Caleb Turner and wife Haley of Whittier, NC, Kristen Turner of Granite Falls, Anita Bryant of Hudson, Dwayne Bryant and wife Sharon of Hudson and Jason Bryant, Jr. and wife Ashley of Statesville; also surviving are six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews who all reside in Texas.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Alberto “Bodine” Robles; her siblings, Mary Helen “Neni” Doporto, Juan Cervantes, Esquito Cervantes, and Oscar Cervantes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Big Spring Texas, and will be handled by Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
