Karen Dale Bolick, 67, of Granite Falls, peacefully entered into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday March 11, 2026 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer, endured for many years.
Karen was born on May 25, 1958 in Caldwell County to the late Charles Marion Dale and Thelma Lucille Miller Dale. She worked for many years in the textile industry as a seamer, and was a faithful member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. A dedicated and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, Karens life was centered around her family, who were her greatest joy. Her warmth, and unwavering dedication will be deeply missed by all who knew her, especially her family.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Donald Bolick of the home; her daughter, Crystal Michael (Shane) of Hickory; her sister, Debra Powell (Danny) of Hickory; her granddaughters, Meredith Bentley (Adam) of Granite Falls, Kaylee Dula of Burnsville, Sierra Dula of Sawmills and Brianna Herrera (L.J.) of Hickory; her great-grandchildren, Zachary, Malachi, Kennedy, Wesley, Madison, Jonathan, Chloe, Sophia, Derrick, Lucas, Arianna, Andrew and Parker; her niece and nephew, Heather Foss (Chase) of Hickory and Danny Powell, Jr. (Shonta) of Hickory; her step-daughters, Donna Dollar (Eric) and Crystal Branch; her step-son, Donnie Bolick; step-grandchildren, Chelsea Flowers, Tyler Bolick, and Jordan Bolick; her sister-in-laws, Betty Barkley (George) and Amy Smith; her brother-in-laws, Jimmy Bolick and David Bolick (Tammy); and nephews, Jacob Bolick and Dereck Bolick.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 15, 2026 from 2:30-4:00 P.M. at Mount Zion Baptist Church.
A Funeral Service will follow at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, at Mount Zion Baptist Church, with Rev. Zach Kennedy and Rev. Larry Miller, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mount Zion Baptist Church Building Fund, 1787 Cajah Mountain Rd. Hudson, NC 28638.
