John Philip Bickford

John Philip Bickford, 50, of Granite Falls, passed away Sunday August 17, 2025 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory following a lengthy illness.

John was born on August 10, 1975 in Charleston, West Virginia to John Allen Bickford and Sharon Albaugh Bickford. He was formerly employed with Massey Energy, and will be missed by his family and friends, and all who knew him.

Survivors include his parents, John and Sharon Bickford of Granite Falls; his son, Allen Bickford of Granite Falls; his sister, Melissa Webber and husband Thomas Glenn of Hildebran; his niece, Bridgette Webber of Hildebran; and his fiancé, Ginger Hall of Hickory. Also surviving are his aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members and friends.

A Service of Remembrance will be held by the family at a later date.
