Jerry Douglas Holman

Mr. Jerry Douglas Holman, 82, of Granite Falls passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Amorem Hospice in Hudson following a period of declining health.

Jerry was born June 6, 1943 in Caldwell County to the late William Holman and Shady Greene Holman. Following high school, he served in the United States Navy; and later worked as a Data Processor for Corning. Jerry was a member at Concord Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Nancy Townsend; and brother, Ronald Holman.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Jeff Holman and wife Tonya of Granite Falls, and Pam Robinson of Granite Falls; grandchildren, Caitlin Chestnut and husband Bradley of Bluffton, SC, McKenzie Thornburg of Drexel, Landon Holman of Rhodhiss, Troy Thornburg and wife Bre of Granite Falls; and Connor Robinson of Granite Falls; and great grandchildren, Liam Chestnut and Graham Thornburg; and sister, Annie Walker of Granite Falls.

The family will receive friends Monday, September 15, 2025 from 3:00PM to 4:00PM at Concord Baptist Church in Granite Falls.

A memorial service will immediately follow at 4:00PM with the Rev. Dan Kiefer officiating and military honors presented by the U.S. Navy.
