James "JD" Douglas Scott

James “JD” Scott Jr. 46 of Gamewell went home to be with his lord on Tuesday March 3, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

Mr. Scott was born on November 9, 1979, to Tammie Franklin and the late James Douglas Scott.

James Scott was a kind and loving man who touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He deeply cherished his friends and family and found great joy in the time they shared together. In the days before he went home to be with the Lord, James accepted Christ into his heart and committed to walk faithfully with Him. His life and faith will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

In addition to his father James is proceeded in death by his grandparents Stuart Scott and Marry Crotts and his grandparents, Johnny Franklin and Louise Huffman.

Those left to cherish James’s memories include his mother, Tammie Franklin; Sons Trinity Sanders and wife Cynthia of Colletsville, Thomas Scott of Colletsville; Sister Anita Fernandes of Gamewell and her two children Amethyst Fernandez of Charlotte and Leona Scott of Gamewell Also surviving are his 4 grandchildren; Grayson Sanders, Trinity Sanders, Nathan Sanders and Izabella Sanders all of Colletsville.
