Irene Kiziah Aldridge

Irene Kiziah Aldridge, 81, of Granite Falls, departed this life to her heavenly home on Monday February 9, 2026 at her residence following a lengthy illness.

Irene was born on February 8, 1945 in Caldwell County, to the late Dallas Kiziah and Leona Dishman Kiziah. She worked for many years in the furniture industry and was also a homemaker. She lived a life filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family. As a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Irene’s nurturing spirit touched the lives of everyone she met. Her infectious smile and boundless patience were her trademarks, creating a comforting presence that will be dearly missed. She shared an extraordinary bond with her husband, which was a testament to a love that inspired all who knew them.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 52 years, Hubert Wiley Aldridge, Jr. of the home; her daughters, Tammy Houston of Icard, Lauren Smith and husband Carroll of Morganton, Kathy White of Thomasville and Amy Easterling of Thomasville; her brothers, George Washington Kiziah and Clarence Kiziah; also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Dula and a brother, James Dishman.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 2:00-3:00 P.M. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Connelly Springs.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, with Rev. Curtis Carroll officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.
