George Locke Link

George Locke Link, 51, of Granite Falls passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at Forsythe Hospital in Winston Salem.

George was born May 30, 1975 in Catawba County to Charles “Danny” Link and Margaret “Peggy” Link. George was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed life to the fullest, with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his kind heart, his big laugh, his beautiful smile, and his love for others.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Rebecca “Becky” Link of the home; children, C.D. Link of Granite Falls, Dustin Byrd of Lenoir, David Byrd of Granite Falls, Heather Link of Granite Falls, Robert “Robbie” Link of the home; father, Danny Link and wife Alfreda of Connelly Springs; mother, Peggy Link of Granite Falls; brother, Wayne Link and wife Kathy of Granite Falls; three sisters, Gail Link and husband Andy of Gloucester, Virginia Leigh Ann Johnson and husband Chris of Granite Falls, and Christie Greene of Hickory. Also surviving are his precious grandchildren, Malachi, Penny, and Keenan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held from 2:00PM to 5:00PM Sunday, August 2, 2026 at Mackie Funeral Service in Granite Falls.
