Gail Eulaine Hipps

Gail Hare Hipps, 74, of Hildebran, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026, following a period of declining health.

Gail was born on Friday, January 4, 1952, in Catawba County, North Carolina, to the late Curtis Hare and Wayburn Rebecca Smith.

In addition to her parents, Gail is preceded in death by her husband, David Hipps; her daughter, Shelby Hipps; her granddaughter, Makenzi D’Shae Hare; her grandparents, Mary and Claud Smith; her sisters, Brenda Dunn, Sandy Hare, June Stewart, and Joan Stewart; and her brother, Billy Hare.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Franklin Hare; her grandchildren, Christopher Hare and Tori Hare; her great-grandchildren, William Dula, Aiden Hare, Kavy and Nyxxen Sigmon. She is also survived by her sisters, Bobbie Hare, Lisa Page, and Julie Page; her brother, Michael Stewart, and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
