Jul 5, 1954 — Aug 3, 2026

Hudson

Mr. Dennis Jed Bowman, age 72, of Hudson passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026, at Frye Regional Medical Center.

Dennis was born on July 5, 1954, in Forsyth County to the late Oscar Newell Bowman and Ima Jean Clodfelter. Dennis was a kind, gentle, and incredibly intelligent man who never met a stranger. He loved talking with people and always had a story to tell, bringing smiles and laughter wherever he went. Those who knew him will remember his sharp mind, his warm heart, and his willingness to help others. He dedicated 32 years of his career to Radio Shack, serving as a respected manager and building friendships along the way. Later, he became an over-the-road truck driver, traveling across the country and experiencing places and adventures that gave him countless stories to share with family and friends. Dennis loved working on cars and tinkering with anything mechanical. He had a natural talent for fixing things and enjoyed the challenge of figuring out how things worked. Whether he was repairing something, lending a helping hand, or simply sharing his knowledge, he did so with patience and kindness. Above all, Dennis loved his family. Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we take comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering and has been welcomed home into the loving arms of Jesus Christ.

In addition to his mother and father Dennis is proceeded in death by his sisters; Kimberly Hayes, Lisa Bowman and Granddaughter; Allison Hodge.

Those left to cherish the memory of Dennis include his daughter; Jennifer Bowman of the home, Brother; Rick Bowman of Raliegh, Grandchildren; Evan Hodge of the home, Ethan Hodge of Hudson and Aspen Austin of Lenoir. One great-grandchild; Isabella Hodge of Hudson. Stepmom; Judy Bowman of Kings Mountain, Nephew; Chase O’Brien and wife Hannah of Lewisville, Great niece; Harper O’Brien of Lewisville and cousin; Larry Brooks of Lexington.

In accordance with Dennis's wishes, no formal services will be held. His family asks that he be remembered through your prayers, by extending kindness to others, and by holding close the memories shared with him.
