Della Mae Ward

Della Mae Ward, 44, departed this life peacefully on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Four Seasons Hospice in Hendersonville, following a period of declining health.

Della was born on September 18, 1981 in Catawba County to Terry Ralph Ward and the late Connie Lynn Smith Ward. Della was cherished by her family who will deeply miss her presence, laughter, and unwavering love. Her memory will be treasured, and her absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her father, Terry Ralph Ward of the home; her children, Logan Tallant and William Tallant; and her brother, Chuck Ward.

The family will receive friends on Sunday July 19, 2026 from 4:00-5:00 P.M. at Mackie Funeral Service in Granite Falls.

A Memorial Service will follow at 5:00 P.M. Sunday at Mackie Funeral Service in Granite Falls, with Rev. Dan Greene officiating.
