David Gene Willix

Mr. David Gene Willix, 60, of Connelly Springs passed away Monday, December 8, 2025 at UNC Health Blue Ridge following a brief illness.

David was born October 9, 1965 in Burke County, NC to the late John Lewis Willix and Vinna Mae Young.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Willix; and numerous siblings.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Nikki Ervin and husband Josh of Connelly Springs, and Oliva Sullivan of Connelly Springs; eight grandchildren; brothers, Danny Willix and wife Lisa of Connelly Springs, Larry Willix and wife Violet of Connelly Springs, Richard Willix of Connelly Springs, and J.L. Willix and wife Teressa of Newton; and sisters, Lisa Gross of Connelly Springs, Rita Ramey and husband Wade of Mississippi, Liz Reagan of Newton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
