Christine Phelps Gnatz

Christine Phelps Gnatz, 73, of Granite Falls, passed away peacefully at Hibriten Nursing Center on Friday, September 26, 2025.

Christine was born on September 2, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Edward Phelps, Sr., and Dorothy Utiger.

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her sister Sally Walker and brothers Edward Phelphs Jr and Rodrick Phelps.

Christine Gnatz, a woman of deep Presbyterian faith, will be fondly remembered for her warmth, dedication, and the joy she brought to those around her. She found fulfillment in her work as a retail associate at Linens and Things in San Antonio, Tx, where she formed lasting friendships and touched many lives with her kindness and smile.

Those left to cherish Christine’s memories include her sister Donna Fletcher of Granite Falls; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, who she viewed as her children.
