Cheryl Ann Barstad

Cheryl Ann Barstad, 82, of Granite Falls, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, at Amorem Forlines in Hudson following a period of declining health.

Cheryl was born on April 2, 1944, in Pennsylvania to the late John Pittman and Mary McCormick. Cheryl worked as a nursing assistant, caring for others with compassion and dedication. Above all, she cherished being a mother and devoted her life to raising and caring for her three beloved children, who were her greatest joy.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents.

Those left to cherish the memories of Cheryl include her Life Companion of 24 years, Tom Pfeiffer of the home; her sister, Candice Davis and Husband Bob of Delaware; her three lovely kids, Mark Katocs and wife Lana of Texas, Ryan Barstad and wife Katrina of Arizona and Terri Katocs of Hickory;her grandchildren; Job Katocs of Texas, Joshua Katocs of Texas, Andrew Katocs of Maryland, and Robert Katocs of Texas. Also surviving are two great- grandchildren, Paisley Katocs and Kenneth Katocs.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday June 30, 2026 in the Chapel of Mackie Funeral Service & Cremations, with Rev. Mike Harris officiating.
