Charles “Chuck” Phillip Bumgarner, 59, of Granite Falls passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Amorem Hospice in Hudson.
Chuck was born May 1, 1967 in Caldwell County to the late Sanford Bumgarner and Mary Jane Slagle Bumgarner.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Vicky “Dianne” Parker; brother, Michael Wayne Bumgarner; and stepmother, Lillar Gragg Bumgarner.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Kim Bigerstaff and husband Alvin of Granite Falls; nephews Jerry Bumgarner of Granite Falls, and Cody Biggerstaff and wife Jennifer of Iron Station; stepbrother, Terry Carpenter and wife Peggy of Hudson.
