Charles Houston Fox

Charles Houston Fox, Jr., 85, of Rhodhiss, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at UNC Health Blue Ridge in Morganton following a lengthy illness.

Charles was born on November 21, 1939, in Sevier County, TN, to the late Charles H. Fox and Birdie Ogle Fox. He was a United States Army Veteran and was a Baptist Minister for many years.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ella Kate Oakley Fox, his brother, Carl Fox, and his son-in-law, James Patrick Watts.

Survivors include his daughters, Vickie Watts of Entiat, WA, and Paula Hope Ballard of Sevierville, TN; also surviving are 6 grandchildren, 13 Great-Grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 20, 2025, in the Chapel of Mackie Funeral Service in Granite Falls, with Father Ric Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Granite Falls, where he will be laid to rest beside his wife, Ella Kate. 

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Mackie Funeral Service in Granite Falls.
