Carolyn Mull Starnes

Carolyn Mull Starnes, 69, of Granite Falls, passed away peacefully on Thursday October 22, 2026 at Autumn Care of Drexel following a lengthy illness.

Carolyn was born on January 13, 1957 in Catawba County to the late James Mull and Shirley “Jane” Lewis Mull. She worked for many years in the dietary department at the Lutheran Home in Hickory, and she will be missed by those who loved her.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Steve Starnes and Daughter Jaqueline Susann.

Survivors include her son, John Clark of Icard; her sisters, Cathy Stephens (Dennis Little) of Catawba, Michelle Wilson (Jimmy) of Connelly Springs, and Jeannie Herman (Paul) of Catawba; son in-law; Patrick Lookhoff of Conelly Springs, also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be private.
