Brenda Kirby Vanhorn

Mrs. Brenda Kirby Vanhorn, 85, of Granite Falls passed away Monday, January 26, 2026 at Amorem Hospice in Valdese following a period of declining health.

Brenda was born July 6, 1940 in Caldwell County to the late Roscoe Hill Kirby and Coyet Corell Kirby. She worked at MDI prior to retirement.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jessica Kirby.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, David Vanhorn and wife Regina of Granite Falls, Lloyd Alan Kirby and Teresa Pritchard of Granite Falls; grandsons, Michael Vanhorn and Josh Kirby; great grandchildren, Caleb Vanhorn and Madison Presnell; sister, Jakie Wall and husband Jerry of Florida; niece, Nancy Wall; and nephew, Phillip Wall.
