Bonnie Johnson Rhoney

Bonnie Johnson Rhoney, 71, of Hickory, departed this life to her heavenly home on Sunday July 13, 2025, at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory.

Bonnie was born on September 25, 1953, in Catawba County, to the late Glenn Johnson and Jean Davis Johnson. She was the former co-owner and secretary of Rhoney Chair Company in Hickory.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lawrence Rhoney, Sr; and one brother, Ernest Johnson.

Survivors include her daughters, Ragan Martin (Don) of Morganton; Jason and Stacie King of Hickory; her grandsons, Remington and Kara King of Cullowhee and Easton King of Hickory; her granddaughter, Charleigh King of Hickory; two sisters, Glenda Teague of Granite Falls and Judy Porter (Mike) of Easley, SC; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, and the family pup, Baxter.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
