Bobby Gene Hargus

Bobby Gene Hargus 78 of Granite Falls, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday March 25, 2026, at Caldwell Memorial Hospital

Bobby was born on November 1, 1947, in Caldwell County to the late Alvin Hargus and Ruby Powell. Bobby had a deep love for classic cars and could often be found fishing whenever he had the chance to relax. He also enjoyed crafting knives, a hobby that reflected his skill and patience. Known for his playful spirit, Bobby loved cruising through the neighborhood in his golf cart, always managing to bring smiles and laughter to his family.

In addition to his parents Bobby is preceded in death by his two siblings Larry Powell and Judy Reid.

Those left to cherish Bobby’s memories are his brother Ben Minton and wife Cindy of Lenoir. Also, surviving are numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Per Bobby’s request no services will be held at this time.
