Billy Ray "John" Lambert

Billy Ray "John" Lambert, 74, of Connelly Springs passed away Saturday, September 5, 2026 at UNC Health Blue Ridge in Morganton.

John was born September 28, 1951 in Burke County to the late Bobby Lambert and Gladys Abee Lambert. John will be remembered for his love of NASCAR, 70's music, fishing with his dad, spending time at the Jamestown Flea Market; and most of all, spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Evan "Mom" Abee; and his beloved dog, Susie.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Susan Lynn and husband Brian of Lenoir, Billie "Sissie" Lambert Gragg of Connelly Springs, and Robbie Lambert and wife Wendy of Lenoir; grandchildren, Reyhn Lynn, Christian Lynn and wife Bethany, Sierra Lynn, Makaiah Lynn, Kimberly Gragg, and Christopher Gragg; great grandson, Oliver Lynn; sister, Blenda "Cookie" Icard of Valdese; nieces, Amy Icard of Connelly Springs, and Joni Icard of Valdese; and K9 companion, Little Sue.

A private service will be held at a later date.
