Arlene Davis

Arlene Davis 74 originally from Wooster, Ohio transitioned peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones on December 10, 2025. Born on May 21, 1951 in Wooster, Ohio to the late Amado and Ruby Dentino. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her son Buck Sain and his partner Joplin of Morganton and daughters Jennifer and husband Walter Del Cid of Granite Falls, Debra Dentino and Brandy Parker both of Hickory, sister Catherine and husband Mark Lloyd, brother Anthony Dentino, brother Johnny Dentino and his son Aaron of Georgia and brother Michael Dentino and his wife Dana. Nanny leaves a legacy of 16 grandchildren; Juan and wife Sophie, Shawn, Mikalah "KK", Bella, Ava, Camilla, Maverick, Everleigh, Chance, Mason, Memphis, Calleigh, Constance, Brandon, Brooklyn and one great-grandchild Leona Rae, and countless “bonus” children (Shanna Shelton) and grandchildren who claimed her as their own. 

To know her was to love her, and it didn’t take long before everyone she met affectionately called her “Nanny.” Nanny dedicated her life to her family. She was a lifelong devout Catholic and a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. 

She was preceded in death by her son Joseph Icard, daughter Tiffany Selph, parents Amado and Ruby Dentino, sister Patricia Dentino, grandson Austin Parker and her life partner Edward "Eddie" Selph.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 14, 2025 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Mackie Funeral Service.
