Ana R. Torres

Ms. Ana R. Torres, 86, of Granite Falls passed away peacefully at her home, Monday, June 29, 2026 following a period of declining health.

To know Ana Torres was to experience a true force of nature. She walked through life with an intensity that was unmistakable; she was a woman of immense strength and unshakable passion, dedicated to every path she chose and every person she held dear. For those who didn't know her well, her presence could be daunting—she was bold, unapologetic, and fiercely protective. But for those of us lucky enough to be in her inner circle, we knew that same intensity was the measure of her love. She loved hard, without reservation and without condition. When she gave, she gave of herself completely, pouring her heart into her family and the causes she believed in. Her greatest joy, and perhaps the place where her fierce nature softened into pure magic, was as a grandmother and great grandmother she was a source of endless wisdom, a playful spirit, and a lighthouse of unconditional love and support. Ana leaves behind a legacy of resilience. While the world feels a little quieter without her vibrant presence, we find comfort in knowing that her spirit, her strength, and her boundless capacity to love remain a part of us every single day. She will be missed, remembered, and celebrated for the extraordinary woman she was.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 4, 2026 from 3:00PM to 6:00PM at Mackie Funeral Service.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2026 at 12:30PM in the Chapel of Mackie Funeral Service.

Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery.
